Aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs) are responsible for maintaining routine maintenance on an aircraft along with fixing any problems that arise. AMEs are licensed to inspect and certify that work done on aircraft complies with written safety standards. They also work on preventative maintenance, as certain parts of an aircraft have a certain limited lifespan.

An AMEs duty is to service and repair various parts of an airplane, including airframes, engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, propellers, landing gear brakes and aircraft instruments. They use special instruments to measure the wear and tear of parts and use x-ray machines to search for cracks undetectable to the human eye. They are responsible for keeping a log of all the repairs and work they do on an aircraft so that safety remains their biggest concern. Before a aircraft returns to the skies, an Engineer must ensure that
components work properly and safely. Therefore, they put the aircrafts through a number of standard tests, which makes passengers feel a lot more comfortable about air travel.

These Engineers specialize in small aircrafts, helicopters, propeller driven airplanes and large turbo transport driven aircraft carriers. Larger aircrafts are more sophisticated and re often quite sophisticated in that they may possess any electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and propulsion systems. including radio, radar and instruments, and electro-mechanical systems, including cabin pressure systems, oxygen equipment and altitude measuring instruments. They also need to know about approved repair techniques, safe work practices and aeronautical safety rules, regulations and methods. It is crucial that AMEs keep their skills up to date and should keep themselves upto date on the latest technologies.

A Flight Engineer is somewhat different. They are responsible for ensure that the technical aspects of the plane are in perfect working order before the plane can take off.

These technical experts are thoroughly familiar with the operation and function of various parts of an airplane. They inspect aircraft prior to takeoff for defects - they look for things like fuel or oil leaks and malfunctions in electrical, hydraulic, or pressurization systems. They ensure that the cargo and passengers are well balanced. On larger aircrafts, these engineers (who are also trained pilots) come along for the ride. In-flight, they monitor control panels and regulate engine speed according to instructions of the head pilot. They take care of repairs, replace fuses, adjust instruments, and free jammed flight controls. They are there to look after any technical emergencies that may arise in-flight. They also keep records about fuel consumption, repairs needed, and malfunctions that ground personnel might be able to look after.

Best Colleges in Canada offering such courses are. British Columbia Institution of Technology, College of the North Atlantic, Redriver College, Seneca College make off. For much of that time, their plane may be being looked over by a flight Engineer, who examines the aircraft before it can go anywhere. Flight engineers ensure that the technical aspects of the plane are in perfect working order before the plane can take off.
_________________________________________________________________________________

FOR THE ENTIRE LIST OF COLLEGES IN CANADA, VISIT THE FOLLOWING SITE: http://bestaviation.net/flight_school/canada2.asp

Travel & Tourism Management

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/RwiqR_eDWUI/AAAAAAAAAFY/Oar1nseESBE/s200/aircraft.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118528202578549058" />
Travel & Tourism has enormous potential in the world today. However it is a growing area and one which has now been established at many Universities around the world. Sports studies have three distinct areas of specialization. Firstly the Sports Psychology, secondly Sports Management and last but not the least is Sports Physiology.

Sports Psychologists want to work with top athletes and they are looking at what will take those athletes that one percent extra, to make them win. Sports Psychologists work with the athletes through their training program and become an integral part of the team, in fact they play just as an important role as a Coach.

Secondly Sports Management goes hand in hand with the area of Sports Marketing. The Sports Management team takes care of issues relating to running of Sports clubs and management of athletes. On the other hand there is the Sports Marketing which looks at the market forces behind the Sports. An interesting question comes to mind. Why do people spend their money on expensive tickets to a Football match or a Tennis game rather than going to the cinema or buying CDs. What are the market forces that drive them? They want entertainment, best seats, and something to remember. So the Marketing people take pride in all these commercial issues and how it hooks back into the Management of Sports.

The third branch of Sports Studies which is also known as Exercise Science which takes care of fitness testing and body measurements and looks at the micro level of cellular change. They do Cellular Research to assess changes in body cells when the body is under stress.

Sports Studies Programs are offered around the world in almost every single Country. These include US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, and many other European Countries.

Want to be a Journalist?

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/R5WqWpaj96I/AAAAAAAAANY/vknPbbKJB2M/s200/192665375.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5158216254273877922" />
Journalism can be a fun and rewarding career, however a good education and desire to work hard, with a strong passion to achieve your goals and survive the competition is what it takes to be a hard core Reporter and Writer. Community colleges have several advantages some being, Cost of tuition. If one studies full time in a Community College is much less than a four year College or University. The difference is half the cost. The extra funds can be put aside when the student transfers to a four year College or University. Second is the Transfer Program Option. The Student earns an Associate Degree which is equal to 50% for a Bachelor Degree. Quality of instruction is far better due to the fact that there are smaller classes and thereby ensures good interaction with and individual attention from instructors. Last but most important point to note is Open Door Admission where everyone who applies gains admission, however they must appear for the test skills in Mathematics, English and Reading. Currently there are around 1200 Community colleges in United States. Sierra College in California USA is one such College. They offer around 70 Degree Programs

The Important Steps to Studying Abroad

Foreign under-graduation opens up a wide range of career opportunities, however, the process of applying, getting admission and, finally, going abroad is long and needs meticulous planning. Here is a step-wise guide to making it work.
The top six countries -- the US, Canada [Images], the UK, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand emerge as the preferred destinations.

Choose your field

By the time you are through with school you should have an idea of the area that you want to build your career in and/or what you are good at. The choice of the exact course and specialisation can then follow.
Do your research - Before starting off, a student should go through the information that is available on various websites." It may be time-consuming and confusing, but there is no substitute to being well informed.
Another effective way of doing due-diligence is visiting educational fairs of different countries. "At such fairs, many colleges come in and tell you what exactly they have to offer; even the faculty of the colleges is present.

Guidance and location

The next place to go to would be the official educational representatives of the countries in India. Alongside, you can take help from agents and/or educational counsellors, who can guide you throughout the entire process. Sircar advises caution here: "Check if the counsellor is an approved agent. You can even check with the colleges concerned. Do a background check. You can also tap into alumni networks and contact Indian students who have used an agent to get recommendations."
Charges. -The services of the official representatives are mostly free. Agents, however, make money from commissions from colleges and service fees from students. Some take a refundable deposit that you lose if you do not take admission through them. US universities don?t give agents a cut, so counsellors often charge a package fee for five to six universities. You can budget for around Rs 10,000 for these services

Choose the place

This is a bit tricky. Ideally, this should depend on where the best course in your field is offered). Singh, who also wears the hat of the president of the Association of Australian Representatives in India (AAERI), says: "While the US is known for research, the UK scores in pure studies, and Australia in applied sciences and vocational courses.

An Indian student who did his Bachelors in Business Administration and HR Management from Keene University, UK, says, "The UK is one of the best places for management education; you get exposure to an economically advanced business environment."
Costs. Herein comes the question of what you are comfortable spending since you are likely to be paying your way through. Course fees and living expenses vary across countries. Often, the duration of course will be determined by the country you are going to. The longer it is, the higher the costs. So please do the maths before you choose

Part-time jobs.

If you are borrowing to finance your studies, you would want to earn to keep your liabilities down. You might even want some cash in hand to live a little better. Pachisia, for instance, works as a computer lab assistant for $10-11 an hour but he cannot manage all the 20 hours allowed per week because of semester timings.
Working after graduation. International job exposure looks good on a CV in today's globalised environment. If this is priority, your course should be in a country that allows you to stay on. New Zealand is the best place for this. Australia, too, welcomes foreign students. The permanent residence application system is very transparent. The US and the UK are a bit stuffy in this respect. If you are planning to stay on in the UK, you are barking up the wrong tree, the route is tedious. Some people who are not familiar with city life prefer to experience the traditional English Life. If you have such preferences, factor them too.

Courses and applications - Select the Course

Whether you will take this step before or after you have chosen your destination will depend on your priorities. You could even get lucky and find the best course in your preferred country. If the course is more important than the destination, you could find yourself grappling with a range of admission and visa requirements.
However, admission into a top programme makes it worth the trouble. After you go through the eligibility and other criteria, try to narrow the list down to five.
While doing this, check how well the degree is recognised across the world and whether it opens doors in the job market or academia, depending on your preference.
Also check out the course and university rankings. The admission process can throw up surprises, so it's better to apply to more than one university unless you are sure of yourself.

Apply Early

Now that you know where to apply, the sooner you do so the better. Always remember deadlines are sacrosanct. While most countries would have paper forms, you need to go though UCAS (www.ucas.ac.uk) to apply to UK colleges. You must craft your statement of purpose well and provide recommendations from your teachers.

Take the Tests

You should have started preparing for the tests you need to take about the time you started your research. Now that you know what you are applying for, it is time to take the tests. You would almost certainly need an English language proficiency test, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). An IELTS score is mandatory to apply for an Australian visa. SAT GRE GMAT CAT aer some of them

Obtain a conditional offer from the University. Based on your marks in English in Class XII (at least 80 per cent), it may waive your test requirement and send you an acceptance letter or wait to do so till they get your score. Either way, they will let you know if you need to take a test. In addition, US universities would require the score of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of reasoning while some would also ask for the SAT subject test score.

Organize Your Funds

Self-funding or Sponsorship. This is often the key since you will likely pay for yourself. "The student's parents or sponsor needs to prepare 6-9 months in advance. Ready funds (liquid assets) should ideally be 6-8 months old at the time of applying for a visa. Recent transfers of large amounts must be explained with documentary proof of source. One should remember not to rely on a shoe string budget. Rather it is recommended that you defer plans if there is a financial problem. You need to show proof of assets for the first year of study and plans for the subsequent years. Australia, however, needs proof for the entire course duration.
Loans. Banks give loans for studying abroad, but only for professional or job-oriented courses. You would have to give an assessment of future income at the time of borrowing and start repaying six months after the course ends. This may not work if you are are going for higher studies.
While loans up to Rs 20 lakh are available, collateral is needed for loans above Rs 7.50 lakh. Maheswari got a Rs 20-lakh loan from Allahabad Bank for his Bachelor's course. He, however, had the advantage that his father was with the bank for the previous 30 years.

Insurance and visas

Get insured - You will have to show proof of health insurance when applying for visas to most countries. In any case, you must have a cover since medical costs abroad, especially in the US, are high and can completely throw your finances out of gear should you need to incur them. You can buy insurance in the country you are going to, or in India. The latter usually works out cheaper. Though Policies purchased in India work out cheaper. Most countries do not accept these policies and one can easily be confronted with a near hopeless situation while in an alien country. Though policies in US, UK and other Countries can be a bit expensive. In the long run you will be the gainer and will have smooth treatment.

Apply for a visa

This is the final hurdle and moving early helps here too. Apart from a required set of documents that are similar for all countries, an interview is mandatory for the US visa. You should be able to convince the consular officer that you intend to go to the US to study and then return. You should use the correct Forms while applying or you can land yourself in an uncomfortable situation. It is always better to ask the front desk before you go ahead and use the wrong forms. While Australian visas can be applied for online, for the rest you need to pay a visit to the visa office. Marina Gandhi, head, Education UK, East India, British Council, says biometric details will be taken at that time for UK visas. Most embassies want proof of funds for the first year. Australia needs them for the entire duration of the course, before it issues a visa.

Accomodations and departure

Once your visa comes through, you need to arrange for a place to stay when you get to your new college. There are usually many choices in terms of costs and facilities, but the ones closer to college work best. Most Universities guarantee accommodation for International students if they apply by the deadline. This would be a good option initially since the facilities are usually good. Once you get the feel of the land, you can rent a place off campus along with other students. This usually works out cheaper and gives you more flexibility. Sharing an apartment teaches one to be independent and share chores. However staying on campus has its own advantages and you can make many friends.

Before leaving

It is advisable to attend pre-departure briefings. You also have to arrange for travel and carry some foreign exchange for the first few days till you can open an account and deposit your travellers' cheques. Admittedly, a foreign college education doesn't come cheap. But the benefits can far outweigh the costs. For starters, the exposure that a top college gives has no substitute. For places such as Singapore, the costs are not much higher than in India. So,if you have the inclination and,of course,the funds, you can follow your heart and study wherever you want. Strike out and put the your first step forward.

Student Visa for Australia

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/SB7SYOLV92I/AAAAAAAAAYU/5wqz57Ta_rE/s200/small+kangaroo.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5196822333596497762" />
Of all countries the Australian Visa is the most time consuming and involves a detailed list. An IELTS Band score of 6.5 and above has been approved suitable to verify that ability. After all, they sustain your enterprise. You give them products they need. If you feel anything short of love for your customers, then look at them in a different light. Think of them as the lifeblood of your business, and focus on how essential they are. Your customers should be people you enjoy seeing and doing business with. They should not be an annoyance to you. Remember to place yourself in the position of the customer and everything will work out.

Your customers should be deserving of this love, respect and care that you will offer them. This will best be accomplished if your business plan includes a way to effectively choose your target audience. You need to figure out who is in need of your product and who has the resources to purchase it. Do not forget to target people who have a lot in common with you. This is a good start to establishing a healthy, trusting relationship between you and your customers.

A good way to meet your customers needs and establish a respectful relationship is to help them with issues that do not revolve around your store or business. Fix and help them with products that they purchased somewhere else. Offer recommendations on other non-competing businesses around town. Help them with personal troubles by listening to their frustrations about their families. Often it is not even necessary to provide them with solutions; they might just want somebody to listen to them.

All of this helps you establish a healthy, trusting, and loving relationship with your client base. By listening to their needs and giving them what they want, you will impress them enough that they will return again and again. The end result? You have a successful, profitable business, and a healthy and happy community of customers and friends!

ASTROLOGY FOR BUSINESS / PROFESSIONS (CAREER)

It is indicated in your horoscope (of course the horoscope has to be correct), as to what business/profession, you should adopt or that you should go in for service, of course, in which type of career. Astrology is the science delving into the human and mundane destiny. It is as old as perhaps the human race itself and the Saints and the Astrologers of all ages have brought it to the level of a modern Science by their power of observation and imagination.

Astrology is no more an occult science of the Mystical East in the hands of religious Mystics, but is a modern science, based on scientific facts and research.

Every movement of star gives out a vibration and every star has its own individual movement. All the vibrations of the stars getting together at different moments, make effects on human beings and other material beings. It is a much debated question, whether the stars have any influence at all, on human beings. While we do not wish to concern ourselves with this controversy here, we may be allowed to express our view that judging from the recorded facts and our experience, we come to the conclusion that the heavenly bodies do exert their influence on the human beings, as also other material things in this world.

It is the business of Astrologers to guide the human beings with their observations. Ancient Astrologers have laid down certain astrological principles, by their constant observations and deductions, over the study of countless horoscopes. Character, Professions, Fame, Education, family life, health and in fact every phase of human life is interpreted more often than not, with surprising accuracy by experienced Astrologers.

Study of astrology is not a wading through a pool of cheap astrological contributions in weekly or monthly lay newspapers and magazines, but consists of deep and laborious delving into an ocean of ancient and modern literature on the subject, and study of thousands of horoscopes.

Fashion As A Career

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/R2ZFlZaj9nI/AAAAAAAAALA/bWR2t3Qvjsw/s200/CAZJ9XQ5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5144876133097141874" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/R2ZEwJaj9mI/AAAAAAAAAK4/PbUoiQy6ALw/s200/3326189995.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5144875218269107810" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/R2ZEqJaj9lI/AAAAAAAAAKw/MgOOLBviE_Y/s200/3180135752.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5144875115189892690" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/R2ZEb5aj9jI/AAAAAAAAAKg/7hFiFXiKcoM/s200/CAOYCM08.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5144874870376756786" />
Fashion Design: This is a wide term used for stitching and designing clothes. One must have an artistic flair, a sense of colours and creativity. The Graduate Design Courses offered by NIFT are three years long, but some institutes also have a one-year course. Apart from the theory of design, the work of internaitonal designers is taught, along with textiles and costumes. At the end of the course, students have the opportunity to organise a fashion show and hold an exhibition of their work. At the NIFT, Knitwear and Leather Design and Technology are separate two-year courses.

Apparel Marketing and Merchandising: Perhaps the most important aspect of fashion is marketing and merchandising, since it converts the fashion business into an economically viable and profitable proposition. The programme provides trained professionals in the field of international marketing, retail management, export merchandising and export operations. This is a two-year course in Garment Manufacturing Technology and another in Apparel Marketing

Once you have decided which course you want to join, select an institute where you want to do it from. Some addresses are given below. While many institutes admit students only on the basis of an interview, you have to prepare for a written test to get into NIFT. The eligibility for most courses is Class 12 but for Garment Manufacturing Technology and Apparel Marketing, it is graduation with minimum 50% marks.

GEMMOLOGY

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/R00R_6a8nKI/AAAAAAAAAJg/jbJLtIkFs0Q/s200/jewellery+3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5137782539611315362" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1AxyQ1L7bMg/R00R5Ka8nJI/AAAAAAAAAJY/t8_oooj5xEI/s200/jewellery.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5137782423647198354" />

A Career in Gemology - Jewellery designed and crafted for the biggest consumers in the global market of gold, silver, diamonds and other precious stones. Films, a blend of creativity and technicality are an important media, not only for entertainment and information, but also for communication. Films, the most international medium, has developed into a universal art form that transcends cultural differences. Film making include feature films, documentaries, newsreels, Promotional films, TV commercials, music Videos.

The craft of filmmaking is a teamwork which needs close coordination of various skilled individuals. It involves acting, directing, producing, script writing, cinematography, sound recording, visual mixing, editing and so on. A film maker like the captain of a ship has to look at all these aspects of film making. He has to start at the very bottom and work his way up. i.e. beginning with raising capital for the film to its distribution, screening as well as all the stages of its crafting.

The field of film making which is highly competitive is one that has a lot of scope for employment opportunities especially, India which releases a large number of films every year. If one has artistic and technical skills and at the same time ability to express ideas, this is the right field for you. Even for acting and directing, which are basically creative fields that require inherent talent, training helps to hone the skills. They also talk about the news, sports, and weather. Sometimes they do commercials, talk with guests, and relate what's going on in the community.

They often work at radio stations. They work in small rooms called studios. These rooms have good light, air-conditioning, and are soundproof. But it can be lonely. Full-time Disc jockeys talk on the radio 5 or 6 days a week for about 4 hours at a time. However, their job takes more time than just that. Every day they must prepare for the radio show. Sometimes they write the commercials, too. Because of this, Disc jockeys don't usually work regular hours. Sometimes they may have to work 24 hours. They often must start early or work late into the night. They also must get to work, even if the weather is very bad. Disc jockeys may also work outside the station. They can work at schools or community events. Some do extra work at weddings and parties.

It is very difficult to get a job as a disc jockey. Classes in broadcast journalism at a college or technical school may help. Courses in English, public speaking, and drama are also good. Students can gain experience at school stations. Hobbies such as sports and music may help. However, most employers want to know how someone sounds on a taped audition. They pay a lot of attention to a person's way of talking. They want someone with a pleasant voice and good timing. They want a disc jockey that will do commercials, news, and interviews with a nice style. They must work under tight deadlines and may have to be computer literate. Earnings are higher in larger cities than in small ones. The middle half of all announcers earned between $7.13 and $15.10 an hour in 2002. The lowest-paid 10 percent earned less than $6.14. The highest-paid 10 percent made more than $24.92 an hour. Some Disc jockeys earn much more. Small radio stations are more inclined to hire beginners, but the pay is low. People who get work experience by completing an internship while in school have the best chance of getting a job.

The number of announcers is expected to decline through the year 2012. This is due partly to the lack of growth in the number of radio and television stations. Now, more than ever, several stations may be operated from one central office. This reduces the need for staff. Some stations operate overnight without any staff. They play programming that was recorded earlier or that comes from a satellite feed. Also, new technology is increasing the productivity of announcers, reducing the number of announcers that are needed.
