Information goes to prove how far we have gone today
The California Gold Rush started in January 1848, when gold was discovered at Sutter's Mill. As news of the discovery spread, some 300,000 people came to California from the rest of the United States and abroad. These early gold-seekers, called "Forty-Niners," traveled to California by sailing ship and in covered wagons across the continent, often facing substantial hardship on the trip. Gold worth billions of today's dollars was recovered, leading to great wealth for some; others, however, returned home with little more than they started with. The effects of the Gold Rush were substantial. San Francisco grew from a tiny hamlet of tents to a boomtown, and roads, churches, schools and other towns were built. A system of laws and a government was created, leading to the admission of California as a state in 1850. New methods of transportation developed as steamships came into regular service and railroads were built. The business of agriculture, California's next major growth field, was started on a wide scale throughout the state. However, the Gold Rush also had negative effects: Native Americans were attacked and pushed off traditional lands, and gold mining caused environmental harm.

Aircraft Maintenance & Flight Engineers
Frequent Flyers entrust their lives to (AMEs) or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers hoping that they are properly maintaining and repairing aircraft carriers. Aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs) are responsible for maintaining routine maintenance on an aircraft along with fixing any problems that arise. AMEs are licensed to inspect and certify that work done on aircraft complies with written safety standards. They also work on preventative maintenance, as certain parts of an aircraft have a certain limited lifespan.
An AMEs duty is to service and repair various parts of an airplane, including airframes, engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, propellers, landing gear brakes and aircraft instruments. They use special instruments to measure the wear and tear of parts and use x-ray machines to search for cracks undetectable to the human eye. They are responsible for keeping a log of all the repairs and work they do on an aircraft so that safety remains their biggest concern. Before a aircraft returns to the skies, an Engineer must ensure that
components work properly and safely. Therefore, they put the aircrafts through a number of standard tests, which makes passengers feel a lot more comfortable about air travel.
These Engineers specialize in small aircrafts, helicopters, propeller driven airplanes and large turbo transport driven aircraft carriers. Larger aircrafts are more sophisticated and re often quite sophisticated in that they may possess any electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and propulsion systems. including radio, radar and instruments, and electro-mechanical systems, including cabin pressure systems, oxygen equipment and altitude measuring instruments. They also need to know about approved repair techniques, safe work practices and aeronautical safety rules, regulations and methods. It is crucial that AMEs keep their skills up to date and should keep themselves upto date on the latest technologies.
A Flight Engineer is somewhat different. They are responsible for ensure that the technical aspects of the plane are in perfect working order before the plane can take off.
These technical experts are thoroughly familiar with the operation and function of various parts of an airplane. They inspect aircraft prior to takeoff for defects - they look for things like fuel or oil leaks and malfunctions in electrical, hydraulic, or pressurization systems. They ensure that the cargo and passengers are well balanced. On larger aircrafts, these engineers (who are also trained pilots) come along for the ride. In-flight, they monitor control panels and regulate engine speed according to instructions of the head pilot. They take care of repairs, replace fuses, adjust instruments, and free jammed flight controls. They are there to look after any technical emergencies that may arise in-flight. They also keep records about fuel consumption, repairs needed, and malfunctions that ground personnel might be able to look after.
Best Colleges in Canada offering such courses are. British Columbia Institution of Technology, College of the North Atlantic, Redriver College, Seneca College make off. For much of that time, their plane may be being looked over by a flight Engineer, who examines the aircraft before it can go anywhere.
