Community College Options for International Students


International students have the option of studying at Community College when they begin Undergraduate Studies. Community colleges have several advantages some being, Cost of tuition. If one studies full time in a Community College is much less than a four year College or University. The difference is half the cost. The extra funds can be put aside when the student transfers to a four year College or University. Second is the Transfer Program Option. The Student earns an Associate Degree which is equal to 50% for a Bachelor Degree. Quality of instruction is far better due to the fact that there are smaller classes and thereby ensures good interaction with and individual attention from instructors. Last but most important point to note is Open Door Admission where everyone who applies gains admission, however they must appear for the test skills in Mathematics, English and Reading. Currently there are around 1200 Community colleges in United States. Sierra College in California USA is one such College. They offer around 70 Degree Programs
